Monokuma who has disappeared for a quite long time after the decline of the True Super High School Level Despair, Junko Enoshima, he's unknowingly revived and once again began the terror of Mutual Killing that he host. This time, he haunted the student from Heavenly Born Academy's Class 85th and forced them in participating the Heavenly Life of Mutual Killing.
Monokuma is a short robot with a bear appearance. His body color is divided into two, white in right and black in left. On his right side, he has a normal black eye and smile, a complete opposite to the other side with a red vertical eye and malicious smile.
Monokuma is described as a bear that is very ambitious and has a goal to destroy every last one of mankind's dream. Specifically, his dream is to destroy the Earth and human itself, plunging the world into a huge unstopped chaos. Despite his cute appearance, Monokuma is a sadistic bear that never hesitate to punish students who opposed him and mocked his authority as the academy's headmaster.
He is very prideful and dislikes being disturbed when he is "working." He likes to do an open-suggestion session, especially when it comes to discuss the mechanism of the Mutual Killing. After experiencing many "deaths" and "reborn", Monokuma become wiser and warned during hosting the mutual killing, though he always knows how to play his own despair-inducing game in right way.
